Hyderabad, You Made EXPO-2 Unforgettable 💜
Three days. One hall full of handlooms. Countless smiles. This is our story from EXPO-2, Hyderabad – held on 7, 8 & 9 August.
For a brand that grew up online – one parcel, one reel, one WhatsApp message at a time – there is nothing quite like standing in a hall and watching someone run their fingers over a Narayanpet border for the first time. That is exactly what Hyderabad gave us this August, for the second time. And this time, the love was bigger than anything we had imagined.
Bhavana Handlooms came to Hyderabad with racks of handloom sarees, tables stacked with cotton kurti sets, Narayanpet and Mangalagiri dress materials, frocks and tops – and we went home with something far more valuable: your trust, your stories and your smiles.

Event Highlights
From the moment the doors opened on day one, the hall filled up – and it stayed that way. Racks of sarees in every colour of the weaver's palette, kurti sets laid out by shade, dress materials unfolded on every table. Customers held fabrics up to the light, checked the weave, matched a dupatta to a top, and asked us the questions a product page can never fully answer: How does this drape? Will this colour hold? Which one suits my mother?
That is the magic of an expo. Online, you see our handlooms. Here, you feel them.
Some moments that stayed with us:
- Meeting our followers in person. Many of you follow our videos and reels, and came to see the fabrics with your own eyes. Putting faces to the names we see in our comments and orders was the highlight of our year.
- Families shopping together. Mothers and daughters choosing sarees side by side, debating colours, and walking away smiling. Handlooms have always been a family tradition – it was beautiful to watch that tradition happen right in front of us.
- The BCS story. We also brought along the story of Bhavana Custom Stitching (BCS) – the women whose skilled hands stitch our kurtis and suits. It was special to share, in person, that every set you buy supports those households.
- Our team on the floor. Three long days of unpacking, folding, billing and packing bags – and not one of us would trade a minute of it.
Your Response Left Us Speechless
We had hoped for a good turnout. What we received was a huge, warm, non-stop response across all three days – a hall that never went quiet, billing counters that barely paused, and customers who waited patiently for their turn with a smile.
But numbers were never the point. The point was every conversation across the table – the colour debates, the drape checks, the “this one is for my mother” moments, and the photos you asked to click with us before leaving. These are the moments we came for, and the ones we will remember long after the racks are packed away.
Every photo we clicked with you is now a memory on our wall – and a reminder of why we do this.

Hyderabad, you did not just support a brand. You supported handlooms, and the many hands behind them. We are grateful beyond words.

If EXPO-2 taught us anything, it is that Hyderabad and handlooms belong together. So yes – we are planning to come back soon, with new arrivals, more colours and a few surprises. Dates will be announced first on our Instagram and YouTube channels and right here on this blog, so keep an eye out.
